The Season of the Rut

The rut is a special season for hunting deer - it is the reproductive season when deer mate. Between October and December is the season of rutting in deer, and many hunters search out the perfect buck. During this season, many bucks wander out in the daylight hours, and during the full moon period is when they are most active.

Here are a few tips to hunt the rut:

1. Use a trail cam
2. Observe the deer
3. Follow the does
4. Make noise to get the bucks active
5. Track the moon phase and hunt during the full moon
